Geri has traveled extensively throughout Central and South America over the past 35 years. From the lush rainforests of Costa Rica and Panama, to the stark landscapes of the Galapagos Islands, to the stunning site of Machu Picchu, and the endless expanse of Patagonia to the crashing waters of Iguazu Falls, Geri fell in love with “The Americas.” And, she fell in love with the warmth and honesty of their people. In 1985, Geri founded GL Tours, a tour company dedicated to providing life-enhancing experiences in Central and South America. Early on, Geri established lasting bonds with in-country guides and suppliers who shared her vision and who have partnered with GL Tours for over 25 years. Geri continues to explore the Americas as they evolve and grow. Geri’s continued mission is to evoke in travelers the lure of exotic destinations, the desire for exploration and the spell of adventure.
Theresa first discovered the allure of travel while working for a Chicago based company specializing in ski tours. Those opportunities to experience and explore the amazing Rocky & Teton Mountain resorts, a very different landscape from the Midwest, had her hooked on travel. She has spent many years traveling with family to homes in Ireland and Italy, getting to know those countries and their people. Her special love however began as she traveled Latin America with GL Tours. She continues to travel extensively though Central and South America looking for new and exciting itineraries. Most recently she visited Panama and explored the Canal Zone and Pearl Islands on a luxury catamaran. Some personal favorite destinations are Peru, Ecuador and Argentina. Theresa excels at creating unique itineraries for clients based on her experiences and the interests and budget of the travelers.
Donna began her international travels with many family trips to Ireland to experience the customs, traditions, language, music and cuisine of her Irish relatives. Her international travels expanded when she went on her first adventure to Belize and Guatemala. Hiking on trails in the pristine Belizean rainforest, observing the marine diversity of the second largest barrier reef in the world and walking up to the top of temple 4 at the crown jewel of the Mayan archaeological sites, Tikal….. Donna fell in love with adventure travel. Her quest for more adventure took her to the Galapagos Islands, the “Enchanted Islands” lost in time. Blue-Footed Boobies, land Iguanas and Giant Tortoises befriended her. A sea lion refused to leave her beach towel. What an amazing world we live in!! A canoe ride down the Napo River, and Donna was in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on our planet…..the Ecuadorian Amazon. A barrage of endangered species, the warmth of the local native community and the pure serenity of the jungle made her realize that this was a mesmerizing place; one unlike any other. A life-altering experience! Contact Donna to help you plan your next adventure. There is always “More to Explore.”
